4/21 And the Rewards Begin

My Little Kobolds,

Anyone that knows 9th Level knows that we are, let's call it "overly ambitious".  We thought that we would have enough time to get the first round of "new rewards" together for 4/20.  We were wrong.  

The good news is that almost all of you have responded to the survey and got your backerkit up and running.  So, at this point we have everything that we need to start shooting things out to people.  We are also on track for delivering all of the minis, plush and shirts!

So, we are doing 2 things.

1)  ON 4/21 (Sunday - i.e. tomorrow), we will ship out from our partner DriveThruRPGs the KOBOLD SDE and THE KOBOLD Adventure.  

2)  The Week of 4/21 we will finalize the Kickstarter Adventure and Death Chart - and hopefully get the image for the Membership card complete.  For delivery next week.

3) We are working to get the new KAMB website up, and will start posting news to that.

Sorry for the delay - and thanks for your pateince.  We never expected this Kickstarter to get so big and ht elogisitics are daunting (on top of trying to write funny things and draw funny pictures.)

Thank you all again, today is crazy as the last minute pledges and changes roll in for the finale of the Kobolds Ate My Baby! In Color!!! Kickstarter comes to a close.  Wanted to give you all one last thank you while this was live, and a few last minute pieces of information.

1)  THE VOTES ARE IN....and the winner for the Classic KAMB Facelift for in Color - FARMAGEDDON with 40% of the votes.  VOR SHALL RISE!  DEATH TO PICNICS!!!

2)  This is our first Kickstarter, and there have been some things we have learned along the way.  The biggest is about how this ends.  Starting today there will be a quiet period while Amazon does it's magic, and then we will be posting surveys and invites to the BackerKit pledge management system.  By the End of April, we should have that all straightened out, and start unleashing waves of goodness.  Our goal is to get the first wave (SDE + goodies) out this week - and are working on a way to do that.

3)  We will setup a piece on our new KAMB website soon, but we will continue to post content and updates about the KS project to this static site.  You can follow us on social media and friend us on Facebook to stay abreast.

Friends, kobolds, backers – lend me your ears. I have not come here to shower you with shiny stretch goals. I have come here to tell you…we only have 1d12 hours left.

At 2:00 PM EST on April 3rd, this amazing journey comes to a close. This is your last chance to pledge (or tack on add-ons, etc. and etc.), and your last chance to browbeat your friends into joining the few, the proud, the leet!  ALL HAIL YOU!

This has been an amazing ride, and now it's time for us to give back!

KICKING IT FORWARD 

Once the dust settles, 9th Level will be taking up the challenge of Brian Fargo (from inExile – you know the funny guy from the Tides of Numenera and Wasteland 2 vidoes) and “Kicking it Forward” (Check out the plan here: http://kickingitforward.org/ ). This means throwing cool hard monies to rad games campaigns, and doing our part to get the word out to interested parties like you.  MOAR KICKSTARTERS!  MOAR GAMES!!  MOAR AWESOME!!!!

DEATH TO STRETCH GOALS – STRETCH GIFTS* UNLOCKED 

 *A Stretch Gift is like a Goal, except that its FOR EVERYONE!!!! 

STRETCH GIFTS #1 (Gifted) – The Royale wid Cheeze Membership Card. Everyone that has backed the campaign will be getting an official membership card to show your leetness as being part of this campaign. Physical Reward levels will get a physical card and everyone will be getting a digital card.

If we reach 1,100 BACKERS. JOHN KOVALIC will be chained to his easel to produce MORE KOBOLDS FOR KING TORG! MOAR ARTS! MOAR BABIES! MOAR CHICKENS!!! With the Kickstarter far exceeding our puny hopes and dreams – we will have the funds to let John spend more time working on our favorite little monsters. This will directly impact KOBOLDS ATE MY BABY! in Color!!! Not just color art, but new art.  We will also look for some outside professional assistance in layout and design to make the books look even better (and send Dan and Chris down into the funny mines to make more funnies!) 

This also means that we are including the KOVALIC ART PRINTS in ALL LEVELS that are getting a copy of KOBOLDS ATE MY BABY! IN COLOR!!! Physical Reward tiers will get the prints, and the art prints will be included in the Digital Wallpaper reward. 

LAST UPDATE AND CALENDAR - WHAT IS COMING NEXT?

So, we will have a final campaign update right before the campaign closes tomorrow at 2:00 EST.  It will have dates and data in a better, easier to read format.  The quick and dirty is that from April 3rd to April 17th will be a "quiet period" while Amazon does it magic.  During that time, we will be setting up our surveys and solutions.
